The New England Patriots are riding high after pulling off one of the shockers of the NFL season, toppling the five-time defending AFC East champs, the Buffalo Bills, in a dramatic 23-20 victory.
It marked the franchise's first back-to-back wins in nearly three years, and it came with a bit of poetic justice. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye engineered the game-winning drive, while Stefon Diggs delivered a statement performance against his former team. Suddenly, the Patriots are playing like a squad rediscovering its swagger.
Now, they'll look to keep the momentum rolling in Week 6 when they travel to the Big Easy to face the New Orleans Saints. Ironically, both teams are coming off emotional upset wins, the Saints having stunned the New York Giants with a 26-14 triumph, giving new head coach Kellen Moore his first victory at the helm just a week after falling to Buffalo.
At 3-2, New England is quietly emerging as one of the NFL's most intriguing turnarounds, but to prove they’re more than a flash in the pan, Maye and company will need to handle business on the road.
New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots kick-off time

New Orleans Saints team news
Spencer Rattler has quietly become the steadying force for the New Orleans Saints, delivering two solid outings since their Week 3 shellacking by the Seahawks. If he continues this form, the Saints could be more than just competitive in Week 6.
Fresh off a 26-14 victory over the New York Giants at the Caesars Superdome, New Orleans finally showed some offensive cohesion. Rashid Shaheed stole the spotlight, racking up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown, proving he’s more than just a role player in this offense.
Rattler has been the engine for the Saints' passing game all season, piling up 990 yards with six touchdowns and just a single interception across five games. His consistency has been critical in keeping New Orleans in contention, even when the rest of the roster has been inconsistent.
Injuries continue to cloud the Saints' week, though, with key contributors like Justin Reid and Cesar Ruiz listed as questionable. CB Isaac Yiadom, DE Chase Young, C Cesar Ruiz, and S Justin Reid are all questionable , while DT John Ridgeway III is on Injured Reserve.

New England Patriots team news
The New England Patriots have plenty to celebrate after their 23-20 upset over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, but it wasn't all rosy. Antonio Gibson suffered a torn ACL and is done for the season after just five games, a massive blow to New England's backfield. Gibson wasn't alone in limping off the field. Keion White exited with an elbow injury, and CB Carlton Davis III went down after a play that was later called back for offensive holding.
The good news? Both Davis and White appear to have avoided serious damage. Davis returned shortly after the incident, and White didn't even head to the locker room, which is encouraging. With Gibson out, the Patriots will now lean on Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson, but depth behind them will be a key storyline going forward.
Quarterback Drake Maye has looked composed and accurate, guiding the offense efficiently through the first five weeks. He boasts seven touchdown passes to just two interceptions and will aim to keep his momentum going after his strong connection with Stefon Diggs last week. Diggs dominated in Buffalo, hauling in 10 catches, while Marcus Jones made a splash with an 87-yard punt return touchdown against Carolina. On the ground, Rhamondre Stevenson found the end zone twice last week, keeping the Patriots’ rushing attack humming.
Tight end Hunter Henry also enters Week 6 on the verge of history. With 2,455 career receiving yards, he's currently fifth among Patriots tight ends and needs just 33 yards against New Orleans to surpass Jim Whalen for fourth on the franchise all-time list.

Saints vs Patriots Fantasy Football
Drake Maye (21.2 projected W6 fpts) may not have lit up the fantasy stat sheet, but he passed his first big test of the season with flying colors. On Sunday night in Buffalo, Maye completed 22 of 30 passes (73.3%) for 273 yards (9.1 Y/A). He didn’t throw a touchdown or an interception, leaving him with a QB24 finish (12.1 points) for fantasy purposes. Short rushing touchdowns stole some of the spotlight, but Maye’s performance was otherwise clean and efficient.
Stefon Diggs (8.4 projected W6 fpts) continues to be the centerpiece of New England's aerial attack. Coming off his Week 4 breakout, he hauled in 10 catches for 146 yards on 12 targets, a 40% target share. Diggs is clearly back to pre-injury form and firmly established as the Pats' WR1. A touchdown is overdue, as he repeatedly came close against Buffalo. With the Patriots' soft schedule down the stretch, Diggs is a must-buy.
Tight end Hunter Henry saw his two-game touchdown streak end Sunday but still delivered a pair of explosive plays. Through five games, he's posted 17 catches for 250 yards and three touchdowns, making him a reliable TE1 option heading into Week 6 against the Saints.
For the Saints, Spencer Rattler (14.4 projected W6 fpts) snapped his NFL losing streak, earning his first win. He completed 21 of 31 passes (67.7%) for 225 yards (7.3 Y/A) with a touchdown and added 21 rushing yards, finishing as a QB19 for fantasy (16.1 points). While not a big-play artist, Rattler is mistake-free and provides a floor as a QB2. New England has allowed 8.2 yards per pass attempt (29th) and hasn't yet surrendered a QB1 week.
Alvin Kamara (9.2 projected W6 fpts) remains involved in the red zone and retains fantasy value, but managers should keep an eye on Kendre Miller. Miller carried a heavier load in Week 5, leading the Saints with 39% of snaps compared to Kamara's 56%, signaling a shared backfield that could cap Kamara's upside.
Saints vs Patriots Game Predictions
The New Orleans Saints might be riding high after finally getting their first win of the season, but that momentum could take a hit with the New England Patriots rolling into town. Before that breakthrough victory, the Saints had dropped all four of their games by more than five points, hardly the sign of a team ready to hang with a squad on the rise.
For the Patriots, road games haven’t been an issue this year. They've already knocked off Miami 33-27 and stunned the Buffalo Bills 23-20 on Sunday Night Football. With a team that's steadily hitting its stride, it’s hard to envision the Saints keeping this contest tight.
Quarterback Spencer Rattler has been trending upward in the rankings, and he’s showing he's not the liability some thought. Still, the Saints' defense looks shaky, especially against a Patriots offense that held the once-feared Bills to just 20 points after dismantling Carolina 42-13 the week prior.
Expect this to be another game where New England finds ways to pile on points, though the Saints should at least keep it respectable in front of their home crowd.
