The Chicago Bears (1-2) head to the Vegas strip on Sept. 28 for a late-afternoon clash with the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. EDT.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams finally gave Bears fans the breakout game they’ve been waiting for, shredding the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3 and snapping Chicago’s early-season skid in emphatic fashion. That decisive win put a little swagger back in the Windy City as the team hits the road for another test.
The Raiders, meanwhile, look like a team searching for answers. After a tidy Week 1 triumph over New England, Geno Smith and company have stumbled badly, managing fewer than ten points in a lifeless outing against the Chargers before getting run off the field by a Washington squad missing its starting quarterback. A couple of meaningless late touchdowns barely softened that blow.
Momentum clearly favors Chicago here. If Williams keeps firing and the Raiders' offense remains stuck in neutral, the Bears have every chance to turn this desert trip into a statement victory.
Las Vegas Raiders vs Chicago Bears kick-off time
The Raiders and Bears will meet in Week 4 of the NFL season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, September 28, starting at 4:25 pm ET.
Team news & squads
Las Vegas Raiders team news
Las Vegas is coming off a 41-24 thumping by the Chargers that was uglier than the final tally suggests. Geno Smith put up decent numbers, 19-for-29, 289 yards, three touchdowns, but his four interceptions on the season are hard to ignore. Running back Ashton Jeanty managed a workmanlike 63 yards on 17 carries, and Tre Tucker was a lone bright spot with eight catches for 145 yards and all three of Smith’s TD strikes. Defensively, the Raiders were mostly bystanders, logging a single sack and six tackles for loss while the game slipped away early.
Smith has completed 63.2% of his passes for 831 yards so far, but those four picks loom large. Jakobi Meyers continues to be a steady presence with 17 catches for 228 yards, while Jeanty leads the backfield with 144 yards and one touchdown on 47 attempts. Unless Vegas cleans up its mistakes, Chicago’s opportunistic defense could have a field day under the bright lights of Allegiant.

Chicago Bears team news
The Bears are still battling a wave of injuries, as multiple starters sat out Wednesday’s practice. Starting right tackle Darnell Wright missed practice with an elbow issue. Defensively, cornerback Kyler Gordon and linebacker T.J. Edwards remained sidelined with hamstring problems, while veteran defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was also absent as he continues to manage a lingering knee injury. Tight end Colston Loveland rounded out the list of non-participants, leaving Chicago with plenty of questions heading into the week.
Caleb Williams looked every bit the No. 1 pick in Chicago’s Week 3 romp over Dallas, carving up the Cowboys for 298 yards and four touchdowns on 19-of-28 passing. D’Andre Swift couldn’t find much daylight on the ground, just 33 yards on 13 carries, but he didn’t have to with Williams dealing. Rookie wideout Luther Burden III stole the spotlight, turning three grabs into 101 yards and a score, while the Bears' defense chipped in with a pair of sacks and two tackles for loss to keep the pressure on.
Through three games, Williams is showing poise beyond his years, completing 63.4% of his throws for 715 yards, seven TDs, and only one interception. Rome Odunze has been his go-to guy in the red zone, snagging 16 passes for 227 yards and four touchdowns. Swift still leads the rushing attack with 149 yards and a lone score on 42 totes, but Chicago's passing game is clearly the headline act.

Raiders vs Bears Fantasy Football
We’re circling back to Caleb Williams (19.8 projected W4 fpts) this week, and honestly, it’s hard to ignore what he’s doing. The star QB lit up Week 4 with 29.1 fantasy points, completing 19 of 28 passes (67.9%) for 298 yards at an eye-popping 10.6 yards per attempt and throwing four touchdowns. That’s the kind of performance that doesn’t just fill box scores—it grabs attention.
Williams has now finished as a top-10 fantasy QB in two of the first three games, and the matchup this week only tilts in his favor. The Raiders rank 19th in pressure rate (just 33.3%) and have shown vulnerability against the deep ball, which plays right into Williams’ strengths. Expect him to keep cooking if this trend holds.
Over on the other side of the league, Geno Smith (17.5 projected W4 fpts) delivered a mixed but ultimately fruitful outing in Week 3. Not flawless, but he did enough to end as QB4 for the week with 26.1 points. Through three quarters, Smith was 10-of-17 (58.8%) for 124 yards (7.3 Y/A) and a touchdown, a solid floor with upside baked in.
Meanwhile, TE Brock Bowers (8.3 projected W4 fpts) is quietly emerging as one of the league’s sneaky fantasy gems. He's currently 6th among tight ends in targets through three games, averaging seven per outing. Week 3 saw him pull in four of five targets for 38 yards and 9.8 points. His snap share tells the story: 51% in Week 1, 77% in Week 2, 83% in Week 3. The volume is there, the role is expanding, and touchdowns haven't yet hit—but that's exactly why he's screaming buy-low potential. Once the scores start coming, Bowers could turn into a must-start every week.
Raiders vs Bears Game Predictions
Chicago finally broke through with a statement win over Dallas, but now the Bears have to pack their bags for the bright lights of Vegas. Sure, their defense has sprung a few leaks, yet Geno Smith has been generous with the football, this is a matchup where Chicago's secondary could easily snag a takeaway or two.
The Raiders, meanwhile, are coming off back-to-back disasters, surrendering a combined 61 points to the Commanders and Chargers. That's a defense that looks like it’s still in preseason form, and even a sputtering offense like Las Vegas’ can find daylight against a Bears unit that's far from airtight.
Bottom line? Neither of these defenses is scaring anyone, and there should be plenty of fireworks on the scoreboard. I'd hammer the over and expect a shootout, something in the neighbourhood of Chicago 31, Las Vegas 27 feels about right.
