The Tennessee Titans (1-6) hit the road to face the Indianapolis Colts (6-1) at Lucas Oil Stadium in an AFC South clash for Week 8.
It’s been a season to forget for Tennessee, which just can't seem to get out of their own way. The Titans stumbled out of the gate with four straight losses to the Broncos, Rams, Colts, and Texans, digging themselves an early hole. They finally managed to notch their first win on October 5, edging out the Cardinals by a single point, only to slide right back into the loss column against the Raiders a week later.
On the other hand, Indianapolis has been one of the AFC's early-season surprises. The Colts came flying out of the gates with wins over Miami, Denver, and Tennessee to start 3–0 before stumbling against the Rams in Week 4. Since then, they've regained their footing with victories against the Raiders and Cardinals, looking every bit like a contender in the division.
Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans kick-off time

Team news & squads
Indianapolis Colts team news
The Colts are hoping to get some much-needed reinforcements back on the field this week. Wideouts Josh Downs (concussion) and Ashton Dulin (chest) — the latter also a key contributor on special teams, are trending toward returns, as is pass rusher Tyquan Lewis (groin), who was forced out of last week’s contest mid-game. Having that trio back in the fold would be a major boost for a Colts squad looking to keep its offensive rhythm intact heading into Week 8.
In the victory over the Chargers, quarterback Daniel Jones turned in an efficient performance, completing 23 of 34 passes for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Running back Jonathan Taylor carried the load on the ground, racking up 94 yards and three scores on just 16 carries. Alec Pierce was Jones’ go-to target, hauling in five receptions for 98 yards to lead the receiving corps in the road win.

Tennessee Titans team news
The Titans are staring down a laundry list of injury woes, and perhaps, an identity crisis to boot. This is a team that looks like it could use a hard look in the mirror. Sure, they've got enough fight to shock people on any given Sunday, and Cam Ward has shown flashes of being the kind of quarterback who can throw the team on his back and drag them across the finish line. But right now, it’s hard to see that happening with the roster in its current shape.
Defensively, things have gone from bad to worse. Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is set to miss time after suffering a quad injury during last week’s disappointing outing. Even more concerning is the hamstring issue that sidelined Jeffery Simmons, the heartbeat of Tennessee’s defense. Interim head coach Mike McCoy labeled Simmons “week-to-week,” a phrase that typically signals a multi-game absence, and one the Titans can ill afford.
With Simmons out, the defense is teetering on the brink. He's the unit's most dominant presence, and without him, Dennard Wilson's group risks slipping into full-blown collapse. To make matters worse, Calvin Ridley (hamstring) remains sidelined, joining a lengthy list of Titans who didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice.
The Titans came up short against the Patriots. Quarterback Cameron Ward went 25-of-34 for 255 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while lead back Tyjae Spears struggled to find space, managing only 22 yards on five attempts. Wide receiver Chimere Dike was a bright spot in the defeat, posting four catches for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Colts vs Titans Fantasy Football
Daniel Jones has quietly been one of fantasy football's most reliable quarterbacks this season, finishing as a QB1 in five of seven contests. Whenever he's found the end zone on the ground, his numbers have spiked but even without those highlight runs, he’s maintained steady production. Back in Week 3 against this same opponent, Jones delivered a QB11 finish with 15.8 fantasy points. As long as the Colts keep the ball in the air, this matchup sets up nicely for Jones to post another top-tier outing.
There’s no other way to put it, Jonathan Taylor is on an absolute tear heading into Week 8. The Colts star exploded for 94 yards and three touchdowns against the Chargers last week, and his workload continues to climb. With his increased role in the passing game and a soft Titans defense up next, Taylor looks locked in as one of fantasy’s elite plays this week.
After a sluggish Week 6, Michael Pittman Jr. bounced back in style, hauling in his highest number of receptions this season. He’s found the end zone in all but two games and remains a central piece of this offense, especially in 2WR sets where he’s second only to Tyler Warren in targets.
Speaking of Warren, the rookie tight end has been a revelation. With four straight games in double figures, he’s not just a model of consistency, he's the overall TE3 on the year. The Colts offense as a whole is humming, and against a struggling Titans squad, there’s every reason to believe they’ll keep the fireworks going at home.
On the flip side, Cam Ward has shown incremental progress under center, setting new season highs in completion percentage over his last two outings (68.4% and 73.5%) and boosting his yards per attempt to 7.5. Still, the production hasn't fully translated to fantasy success. He wrapped up last week as QB23 with just 10.2 points and has yet to crack the top 20 this season. With six teams on bye, Ward might sneak into low-end QB2 territory, but for now, he remains a fringe option best reserved for deeper leagues.
As for Tony Pollard, his fantasy stock continues to slide. Despite reclaiming lead-back duties, he’s struggled to turn touches into meaningful production, and with the Titans' inconsistent offense doing him no favors, his upside looks capped. Fantasy managers are right to tread carefully here; Pollard is shaping up as a desperation play for those scrambling during bye-week chaos rather than a reliable starter.
Colts vs Titans Game Predictions
The Colts appear to be the smarter pick here. Indianapolis looked sharp on the road against the Chargers last week, piling up 401 total yards while averaging 6.9 yards per play, converting 24 first downs, and, most importantly, avoiding any turnovers. On defense, the Colts gave up 445 yards (including 391 through the air) and 25 first downs, but they made up for it with a pair of timely interceptions that helped shift the momentum in their favor.
At the moment, Indianapolis' offense is firing on all cylinders, scoring 31 or more points in three straight contests. With that kind of rhythm and balance, it's tough to go against a team playing with this much confidence.
