The Arizona Cardinals (2-3) head to Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 12, to take on the Indianapolis Colts (4-1) in a Week 6 NFL showdown.
Arizona's latest defeat to the Tennessee Titans was one they’ll want to forget. What should've been a 28-6 cushion turned into a nightmare when Emari Demercado let go of the ball just before crossing the goal line, a costly mistake that completely flipped the game's momentum. From that point on, the Cardinals were blanked 16-0, watching a sure win slip away.
On the other side, Daniel Jones and the Colts responded to their first loss of the year with a statement performance, dismantling the Las Vegas Raiders 40-6. Indianapolis looked locked in on both sides of the ball, protecting the football and finding the end zone on six of their eight offensive possessions.

Team news & squads
Indianapolis Colts team news
The injury bug has hit both squads hard heading into Week 6. CB Kenny Moore II has been sidelined since Week 3 with an Achilles issue, missing the last two games. WR Alec Pierce has been dealing with a concussion sustained in Week 3 — he practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday last week but didn't take the field Friday and remains in protocol, keeping him out for now.
Meanwhile, DT Grover Stewart suffered a biceps injury in Sunday’s clash with the Raiders and will be a question mark moving forward.
The Colts are reeling on special teams after losing kicker Spencer Shrader — arguably the AFC’s top special teams performer through the first month — to a season-ending knee injury. Michael Badgley has been brought in to take over the kicking duties. Indianapolis also saw cornerback Mike Hilton sidelined with a shoulder injury, prompting the team to make a roster move to shore up the secondary.
Daniel Jones put on a clinic in their blowout 40-6 win against the Raiders, connecting on 20 of 29 throws for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor powered the ground game with 17 carries for 66 yards and three scores, while Ashton Dulin paced the receiving corps, snagging two catches for 55 yards as Indianapolis cruised to victory.

Arizona Cardinals team news
Over in Arizona, tight end Tip Reiman landed on injured reserve Wednesday after hurting his knee against the Titans, becoming the ninth Cardinals player on IR eligible to return this season, one over the NFL's maximum of eight.
Starting QB Kyler Murray is nursing a foot injury — likely turf toe — from Sunday's game that's hampered his mobility and accuracy. After the injury, he went 4-for-7 for 26 yards, mainly on short passes, and took a 10-yard sack on first down. Expect him to play Sunday, but don't be shocked if his foot limits his usual explosive movement on Lucas Oil's artificial turf. If Murray cannot play, Jacoby Brissett is the backup.
On the defensive line, Darius Robinson sat out Sunday with a pectoral injury, and Beachum stuck to his normal Wednesday rest routine. Both teams will need to navigate these injuries carefully if they want to stay competitive this week. The Cardinals are already thin at running back, with Trey Benson (knee) and James Conner (foot) both on injured reserve, leaving the backfield in a precarious spot.

Colts vs Raiders Fantasy Football
The Daniel Jones (18.6 projected W6 fpts) revival is shaping up to be one of the more compelling storylines in the NFL this season. The quarterback has been sharp, completing 71.3% of his throws for 1,290 yards with six touchdowns and just two interceptions. He's also been a threat on the ground, tacking on 56 rushing yards and three scores. Could Jones be this year's version of 2024's Sam Darnold? At this point, he's carving out a niche as a back-end QB1, slotting comfortably in the Jared Goff tier—but with extra mobility still to unlock.
Jonathan Taylor (18.2 projected W6 fpts) is running hot right now, cementing himself as a fantasy juggernaut heading into Week 6. He's at the top of the charts in both carries and rushing yards, ranks second among all running backs in PPR scoring, and continues to rack up red-zone opportunities. Even though Arizona has done a decent job limiting opposing RB touchdowns, Taylor’s consistent workload and goal-line involvement make him a no-brainer start as a top-tier fantasy option.
Meanwhile, Kyler Murray (17.0 projected W6 fpts) is battling a foot injury and didn't take part in early-week practices. Head coach Jonathan Gannon indicated Murray will play if he’s healthy enough, so the situation remains fluid. If Murray can't go, Jacoby Brissett is on standby.
It's been a rough start for Murray, who hasn't cracked a QB1 scoring week yet despite facing the Saints, Titans, and Panthers. He's yet to pass for more than 220 yards in a game and is limping along with a 6.0 yards-per-attempt average—29th in the league.
Brissett has barely seen the field this season, taking just four snaps, three of which came against the Titans, and attempting a single incomplete pass while rushing once for two yards. Should he get the start, it’ll be a bit of a homecoming: Brissett spent four seasons with the Colts, starting 30 games and posting an 11-19 record with 30 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions.
Marvin Harrison Jr. (8.8 projected W6 fpts) had a solid start with three catches in the opening drives, but the offense gradually drifted away from him. Fantasy managers can safely peg him as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3, depending on matchups and game flow.
Michael Carter (9.8 projected W6 fpts) is emerging as the must-grab waiver-wire gem for Week 6. With Trey Benson and James Conner on injured reserve, Carter is set to command the backfield, boasting 23 touches and over 57% snap share. That workload makes him a plug-and-play RB2 for at least the short term, offering immediate fantasy value for teams looking to shore up the position.
Colts vs Raiders Game Predictions
We stick with Indianapolis here. Aside from a handful of costly flags, nine penalties for 77 yards, the Colts were sharp across the board in last week’s home rout of the Raiders. Offensively, they moved the ball efficiently, piling up 317 total yards (221 through the air) while averaging 5.6 yards per play. They converted 8 of 10 third downs, picked up 24 first downs, and crucially, didn’t turn the ball over once. On the defensive side, Indy clamped down, holding Las Vegas to 296 yards and 4.6 yards per snap while snatching two interceptions. After grinding through a few tight contests recently, the Colts finally delivered the kind of convincing, wire-to-wire performance fans have been waiting for.
