Sunday's matchup at Lambeau Field could turn into a one-way traffic affair as the Green Bay Packers host the reeling Cincinnati Bengals.
With Joe Burrow sidelined, Cincinnati have stumbled badly, dropping three straight contests and being outscored 113-37 along the way. Meanwhile, the Packers, coming off a much-needed bye week, look poised to pounce. Sitting at 2-1-1, Green Bay have flashed real promise, especially in convincing wins over the Lions and Commanders.
Jordan Love has been steering the ship with growing confidence, and with Josh Jacobs pounding the rock alongside a dynamic wideout group, this Packers offense has all the tools to light up the scoreboard.
Green Bay haven't tasted victory since Week 2, but against a battered Bengals squad short on momentum and confidence, this feels like the perfect storm for the Packers to get back on track, and perhaps remind the rest of the league just how dangerous they can be when everything clicks.
Green Bay Packers vs Cincinnati Bengals kick-off time

Green Bay Packers team news
Jordan Love has quietly been one of the league's most efficient passers through five weeks, ranking inside the top 10 in passing yards per game (250.0) and touchdowns (eight) despite already having his bye. After tossing 11 interceptions in each of the past two seasons, Love looks noticeably more composed this year, getting picked off just once so far, a clear sign of his maturation under center.
Play-action has become a lethal part of Green Bay's offensive arsenal, with three of Love's touchdown throws coming off those fakes, per PFF. That's thanks in large part to the presence of Josh Jacobs, who sits 11th in the NFL in rushing yards per game (66.5). The yardage totals look solid, but his efficiency, just 3.3 yards per carry, remains an issue the Packers will want to fix before winter sets in.
The rookie Matthew Golden, Green Bay's first-round pick out of Texas, has already carved out a meaningful role in this offense. He’s tied with Jacobs for fourth on the team in targets (14) and ranks third in catches (11). At tight end, Tucker Kraft continues to be Love's go-to safety valve, leading the team in both targets and receptions. His 225 receiving yards tie him with the Raiders' Brock Bowers for seventh among tight ends, and his 14.1 yards per catch rank third among players at the position with at least 10 grabs — a testament to his explosiveness after the catch.
The Packers' receiver room, however, has taken a hit with Jayden Reed on injured reserve due to a foot injury. There’s a bit of good news, though: Zach Tom and Aaron Banks both returned to practice, giving Green Bay's offensive line a much-needed boost. That unit will have its hands full against Trey Hendrickson, who’s back in peak form for the Bengals. The reigning sack king already has four on the year, including a strip-sack of Jared Goff last week, and he’ll likely line up across from Rasheed Walker in what should be one of the game’s most critical one-on-one battles.

Cincinnati Bengals team news
As for Cincinnati, it's been a season defined by "what ifs." Had Joe Burrow been healthy, this might’ve been Green Bay's toughest matchup yet, a date with arguably the best QB–WR tandem in football, with Ja’Marr Chase continuing to make his case as the game's top wideout. But with Burrow sidelined, the Bengals have turned to Jake Browning, who’s done little to move the needle.
Enter Joe Flacco, freshly acquired from the Browns after starting four games there before being replaced by rookie Dillon Gabriel. While Flacco’s arrival brings experience and steadiness, it's a marginal upgrade at best for an offense that ranks near the bottom of the league in rushing (3.1 yards per carry). Chase Brown, the team’s leading rusher, has managed just 160 yards this year and sits dead last among qualified backs with a 2.46 YPC average, numbers that paint a grim picture of Cincinnati’s ground game.
Defensively, the Bengals still boast some bite. Joseph Ossai, Kris Jenkins, and Myles Murphy have each recorded at least 1.5 sacks, though the absence of first-round pick Shemar Stewart, who’s missed three straight games with an ankle issue, has limited their rotation. If Devonte Wyatt is sidelined for Green Bay, the Packers’ interior D-line will be paper-thin, leaving Karl Brooks and Colby Wooden to shoulder the load, and that could give Flacco just enough daylight to test this defense.

Packers vs Bengals Fantasy Football
Jordan Love (projected 19.6 fantasy points in Week 6) enters this matchup off his best performance of the year, even if it frustratingly ended in a tie with Dallas. The Packers' signal-caller went 31-of-43 for 337 yards and three touchdowns, all personal season bests, and finally looked like the franchise cornerstone Green Bay hoped for.
After a bye week to simmer over that unsatisfying stalemate, Love and the Packers now get a chance to unleash their offense against a Bengals defense that's been carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Cincinnati has surrendered the third-most passing yards in the league (1,295), right behind those same Cowboys Love lit up in Week 4. Over the last two games alone, they've been torched for 584 yards and five touchdowns by Bo Nix and Jared Goff. Expect Love to come out firing, looking every bit the part of a top-tier fantasy QB.
Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs should feast. The Bengals' run defense has been soft as butter, coughing up 122.6 rushing yards and nearly a touchdown per game to opposing backs. Fresh legs and a heavy workload make Jacobs one of the safest starts of the week. He’s built for games like this — expect him to churn through defenders and control the tempo while Love drops dimes through the air.
On the other side, the Bengals' offense is still searching for a pulse. After Jake Browning tossed eight interceptions in four weeks, Cincinnati swung a deal for veteran Joe Flacco (projected 12.1 fantasy points). Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed the veteran will start this weekend — but expectations should be tempered. Flacco has been erratic this season, and while he now has elite weapons like Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, his last outing against Green Bay three weeks ago was a disaster: QB32 with 3.7 fantasy points and a meager 3.9 yards per attempt.
Ja’Marr Chase remains the Bengals’ crown jewel — one of the best receivers in football — but even he’s been held in check, averaging a career-low 74.8 yards per game in 2025 despite four straight 1,000-yard campaigns. Chase Brown has been the team’s volume back with 83 touches, yet he’s averaging just 2.5 yards per carry and 5.3 per reception, failing to move the chains effectively. The Packers’ front seven will have a field day if he can’t get going.
As for Tee Higgins, the struggles continue. The wideout has yet to clear 60 yards in any game this season and remains a risky fantasy play, even with Flacco under center. Until this Bengals offense finds its rhythm, it’s hard to trust anyone not named Ja’Marr Chase.
Packers vs Bengals Game Predictions
Ja'Marr Chase could still cause some chaos against this Packers secondary, which has shown cracks throughout the season. Expect him to produce a few highlight-worthy plays but beyond that, the Cincinnati Bengals don't have much working in their favor heading into Lambeau.
Coming off a bye, this feels like a statement opportunity for Green Bay's defense to rediscover its bite, especially in the pass rush. On the other side of the ball, Jordan Love looks primed for a smooth, multi-touchdown outing — the kind of afternoon that could restore some swagger to the Packers' attack.
The silver lining for Cincinnati is the arrival of Joe Flacco, who brings experience and composure to an offense that's been running on fumes. While it's uncertain whether he'll suit up this week, his presence alone is a significant upgrade and could inject some life into the team moving forward.
