Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic is on Chelsea's recruitment radar, and the towering 24-year-old is ruling nothing out in the summer transfer window.

The highly-rated frontman, who stands at 6ft 7, hit 17 goals at club level last season before heading away with Austria on Euro 2020 duty.

Thomas Tuchel is said to see him as a cheaper alternative to current domestic rivals Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski.

What has been said?

Kalajdzic has been quizzed on the speculation he is generating, with a man currently tied to a deal through to 2023 telling Kleine Zeitung: "Of course I can imagine extending my contract, but that would also have to fit. It’s not just me who decides that; it’s also decided by others.

"Something would have to come along that would just fit, and then we’ll see. If there’s something that really impresses me, where I say I want to do that, then I’ll do it.

"I am relaxed. I don’t really think about it much. I’m just here right now, having fun with my friends and trying to prepare for every single training session."

Will Chelsea sign a striker this summer?

The Blues are generating plenty of speculation when it comes to attacking reinforcements.

Prolific Norwegian striker Haaland is being linked with several sides in England, with the 21-year-old now one of the most sought-after talents in European football.

Lewandowski is also generating plenty of surprising rumours after seven years at Bayern that have delivered 294 goals in 329 appearances.

Ex-Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku has seen a return to England speculated on, with the burly Belgian now with Serie A title holders Inter.

Kalajdzic is another name said to be on the Blues' list, with it possible that departures will clear the path for another goalscorer to be brought in.
