Wolves striker Fabio Silva receives Borussia Dortmund offer as German giants battle Roma for striker's signature

Dortmund apparently want to sign Silva from Wolves. According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Dortmund have already offered the striker a five-year contract. The journalist further added that talks between Silva and Wolves are set to take place this week. It should then be clear whether the Portuguese player will be joining Dortmund this summer. 

Silva has emerged as a sudden target for Dortmund. With Sebastian Haller and Maximilian Beier, they already have two backups for star striker Serhou Guirassy. In addition, the signings of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton and Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea are said to be a priority. Decisions are expected soon in each case. There has also been recent speculation about a return for Jadon Sancho.

According to a Sky report, Silva can well imagine a move to Signal Iduna Park. However, Italian heavyweights Roma are also said to be interested. A transfer fee of at least €20 million (£17m/$23m) is on the table, despite only one year remaining on his contract at the Molineux.

Dortmund are determined to bolster their ranks as they aim to challenges the likes of Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen for the Bundesliga throne. They will play their first game of the 2025-26 season on August 18, when they take on third-tier side Essen in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.
