'Wayne out, Coleen in!' - Plymouth fans call for new Rooney to become manager after latest loss leaves Pilgrims second-bottom of Championship table

Rooney's struggles at Plymouth continued on Tuesday with yet another defeat. The Pilgrims were beaten 2-1 at home by Swansea City in what is the team's third straight loss. The result will put further scrutiny on under-pressure boss Rooney, with fans making it clear on social media they think it's time for the Manchester United legend to walk away from the Championship side.

X user @ianlew17 reacted to the result by posting: "Wayne out, Coleen in."

Rooney's problems come at a time when wife Coleen has been in the headlines and finished as the runner-up on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Coleen is now reportedly being lined up for a huge TV deal after starring in the programme, with lucrative offers said to be flooding in already. It's a different story entirely for Wayne who is now facing a battle to stay in the Championship and to keep his job at Plymouth.

Rooney and his children will soon be reunited with Coleen as she returns home after her stint in the Australian jungle. Meanwhile, he and Plymouth will be eager to pick up points next time out but face a tricky test against title-chasing Sheffield United on Saturday in the Championship.
