WAG lunch date! Coleen Rooney & Annie Kilner leave husbands Wayne & Kyle Walker at home as they swap drama for laughs

With Rooney and Kilner both being based in Cheshire – after seeing their respective partners turn out for Manchester giants United and City – the pair have struck up a close bond down the years. They have been enjoying regular catch-ups of late.

There has been plenty for them to discuss, with Rooney still basking in the glow of her runner-up finish on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here – which is said to have delivered a number of lucrative media opportunities, including a £10 million documentary deal with Disney+.

Kilner, meanwhile, remains in the spotlight courtesy of Walker’s off-field behaviour. Having fathered two children with ex-Love Island contestant Lauryn Goodman, the experienced defender is now enjoying a loan spell at Serie A giants AC Milan.

He has been back in the UK after generating more unfortunate headlines in Italy, with Walker and Kilner said to be “working through their issues” as divorce proceedings are put on hold. That could have been one of the topics up for discussion when Annie met with Coleen.

The Sun reports that “Coleen appeared animated during their informal catch-up”, but there were plenty of laughs to be seen as well. Wayne and Kyle may have been left on childminding duty, with both having four boys at home.
