The salaries of top-flight referees have been revealed and show that leading match officials can earn a salary of up to £250,000 a year, according to The Times. Premier League refs receive a base salary of between £72,000 and £148,000 which is dependent on experience. However, referees can also earn extra in performance bonuses and match fees. The most junior referees can therefore earn a total salary of around £125,000, with the most experienced match officials earning double that amount.
