The England international, who is a product of the Red Devils’ famed academy system, has admitted that he feels “ready for a new challenge” - with career-long ties with the Premier League set to be severed. Rashford has been left out of three successive matchday squads by Ruben Amorim.

United are ready to listen to offers for Rashford, having attracted no interest during the summer transfer window of 2024. The hope is that approaches will be received in January, although shifting the 27-year-old’s £325,000-a-week contract may prove tricky.

The Manchester Evening News reports that potential suitors have been approached as Rashford hits the market. The player himself is said to be unhappy that he is being forced out while being left in the dark when it comes to transfer discussions.

Rashford will be eager to find a clean slate in 2025 as he appears to have little future at Old Trafford. He has taken in 426 appearances for United, scoring 138 goals, but is highly unlikely to see out a contract that is due to run until the summer of 2028.
