Greenwood was loaned out to Getafe a few months later, and the one-cap England international has impressed in La Liga. He is said to have attracted <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mason-greenwood-past-no-problem-la-liga-javier-tebas-barcelona-atletico-madrid-manchester-united/blt306c2a106061bad9" target="_blank">interest from the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid</a>, with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-man-utd-huge-price-tag-mason-greenwood-summer-transfer-window-atletico-madrid-asking-getafe-loan-star/blt97e932e9ad3be707" target="_blank">a big-money transfer in the summer of 2024 being touted</a>.

United, though, have Greenwood tied to a contract through to 2025 and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, following his acquisition of a 25 per cent stake at Old Trafford, has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-deadline-mason-greenwood-future-sir-jim-ratcliffe-barcelona-getafe-loan/blta90e48169aeca666" target="_blank">not ruled out a return to Manchester</a>. It is now being suggested that first-team players would be willing to work with Greenwood again.
