Bellingham now has Spain in his sights, and a first trophy with England, but Olmo has told El Larguero of La Roja facing that challenge head on: “I'm not afraid. Bellingham is a reference point there, football is played through his boots. He is always in the thick of things. He is a player to be taken into account, but I don't fear anyone.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Olmo has stepped into Spain’s starting XI following an unfortunate injury to Barcelona midfielder Pedri. He has been credited with the second goal that helped to see off France in the Euro 2024 semi-finals, with his strike bundled into the back of his own net by Jules Kounde.
