Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race for Neves ahead of the summer transfer window, according to O Jogo (viaSport Witness). The Red Devils have been linked with the Benfica star for some time now, while Chelsea are also said to be keen on the 19-year-old. Yet his price tag may prove problematic for all three sides, with Neves thought to have a release clause set at €120 million (£102m/£130m).

Neves has refused to commit his future to Benfica, prompting further speculation he could be on the move in the summer. However, Benfica are keen to keep hold of the youngster and reportedly want to increase his release clause to €150m (£128m/$162m).

The 19-year-old has featured 27 times in the Portuguese top flight this season, notching three goals and two assists.
