Man Utd hit by injury nightmare as Erik ten Hag loses three more players ahead of FA Cup semi-final clash with Coventry

United are currently preparing for their FA Cup semi-final against Coventry but Fabrizio Romano reports that they have been dealt a severe injury blow, with Mason Mount, Willy Kambwala and Sofyan Amrabat all set to miss out. United already have 10 players sidelined, including the likes of Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Scott McTominay, with a particular deficiency at centre-back.

United will still be widely expected to beat their opponents at Wembley, given that Coventry are a Championship club, but their injury issues pose a significant headache for Erik ten Hag. Romano has reported that such is the dearth of defensive options, Casemiro could partner Harry Maguire at centre-back.

United have sustained over 60 injuries this season, and it has severely hampered their progress in the Premier League, with the club currently seventh in the table. Nevertheless, they remain in with a chance of silverware, provided they can overcome Coventry on Sunday.

Ten Hag will likely have to field a patched-up XI against the Championship side as United go in search of a major final. They will then return to Premier League action on Wednesday against Sheffield United.
