<p>Amorim's first game in charge of Manchester United came against Ipswich Town and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-player-ratings-ipswich-town-ruben-amorim-andre-onana-casemiro-alejandro-garnacho/bltb7a26ce2a2237157" target="_blank">ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday</a>. Ipswich fan and shareholder Sheeran was in attendance at the game and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-fans-rip-ed-sheeran-ruben-amorim-ipswich-superfan-gatecrashed-manager-interview-sky-sports/bltca402e3e956bd00d#csfb683eedbe2f161d" target="_blank">riled some supporters by interrupting a live television interview</a> with Amorim after the final whistle, as he shared an embrace with pundit Jamie Redknapp before insisting that Amorim 'didn't want to speak to' him. He has now apologised and insisted he did not know Amorim was talking to Sky Sports.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>He posted on Instagram: "Apologies if I offended Amorim yesterday, didn't actually realise he was being interviewed at the time, was popping to say hi and bye to Jamie [Redknapp]. Obvz feel a bit of a b*llend but life goes on. Great game though, congrats on all involved x."</p>

WHAT SHEERAN SAID

<p>Amorim did have plenty to say after seeing his team take an early led but then be forced to settle for a draw against the Tractor Boys. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ruben-amorim-man-utd-players-afraid-thinking-too-much-disappointing-ipswich-draw-bemoans-lack-time-squad/blt160dfb68659b8608" target="_blank">United's new boss felt his team were "afraid"</a> and "thinking too much" against Ipswich and has already <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-problems-run-deep-ruben-amorim-points-three-crucial-areas-red-devils-must-improve-ipswich-draw-first-game/blt3116fba86844986a" target="_blank">identified three key areas where they must improve</a>.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Amorim is now preparing for his first Europa League game in charge of the Red Devils as Bodo/Glimt are the visitors at Old Trafford on Thursday. As for Ipswich, Sunday's point keeps them in the bottom three of the Premier League but the club, and Sheeran, will be hoping they can stay in the top flight following their promotion last season.</p>
