WHAT HAPPENED?
Following the bombshell news of Klopp stepping down from his managerial role at Liverpool in the summer, a host of coaches have been linked with the soon to be vacant role - including Spurs' Postecoglou. However, the Telegraph says Tottenham hold "no fears" the former Celtic manager will move to Anfield, especially as he still has more than three years left on his contract.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Despite the Postecoglou links, former Liverpool midfielder and Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is the hot favourite to replace Klopp in the Reds dugout. Moreover, it is understood the Australian's deal at Spurs is heavily incentivised, meaning the 58-year-old can earn "significant bonuses and pay rises". The report adds this could come in the form of Champions League qualification, with the north London outfit currently fourth in the Premier League.

DID YOU KNOW?
Postecoglou, who has won trophies as a manager in Australia, Scotland, and Japan over the years, has previously admitted he was a Liverpool fan growing up. However, that is not thought to have raised any concerns among Tottenham's hierarchy.
