River Plate take on Racing Club in the Liga Profesional. Here’s how you can secure your tickets

Lionel Messi has received formal recognition from River Plate following his final international appearance on domestic soil against Benin. The Argentine heavyweights marked the historic occasion by presenting the iconic playmaker with club honours inside the Estadio Monumental, celebrating his enduring bond with the nation's premier football cathedral.

River Plate suffered an unexpected pre-match disruption when their official team bus became wedged on a ramp while departing their hotel. The Argentine giants swiftly arranged replacement transport to reach the Estadio Jose Fierro, where they subsequently secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over ten-man Atletico Tucuman on Saturday evening.

River Plate are set to receive another lucrative multi-million windfall following Enzo Fernandez's British-record switch from Chelsea to Manchester City. The 25-year-old midfielder has completed a massive £125 million deadline-day move to reunite with Enzo Maresca, delivering substantial solidarity dividends directly to his formative boyhood club.
