O'Higgins Overview

Liverpool suffered a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City in a match that shifted dramatically due to a single moment of recklessness. After a tactically disciplined first half where Andoni Iraola's side successfully neutralized the league champions, everything fell apart in the 62nd minute when Ryan Gravenberch received his second yellow card.

A turning point that turns the match on its head

The visitors struck hard in the second half

Manchester City extended their lead to three goals against Liverpool at Anfield after capitalising on a second-half dismissal to take firm control of the contest. In a devastating six-minute spell, Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku struck in quick succession before Rayan Cherki capped a brilliant team move to make it 3-0. The visitors are now on course to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with Liverpool facing an uphill battle to mount an unlikely comeback.
