'He's a phenomenon!' - Gabriel Magalhaes urges Arsenal to sign Real Madrid outcast Rodrygo as Brazil winger faces uncertain future

Brazil international Rodrygo is seeing questions asked of his future at Santiago Bernabeu amid fierce competition for places in the Blancos’ attacking unit. He is said to have grown frustrated at operating in the shadow of ‘Galactico’ team-mates such as Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.

A Premier League transfer for the 24-year-old forward has been speculated on for some time, with Manchester United and Chelsea being credited with interest in the past. He is now being linked with a switch to Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are in the market for more firepower, with the acquisition of a proven No.9 considered to be their top priority. Gabriel is, however, of the opinion that they should also be looking to add more creativity out wide.

Commanding centre-half Gabriel told Podpah when asked about the Gunners’ links to Rodrygo: "I don’t know, but I’d like, obviously. He’s a phenomenon. I’ve told people already, he’s a phenomenon! If it was up to me, of course."

Part of the problem for Arsenal could be that they already have England international Bukayo Saka to operate on the right wing. Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli often lines up on the opposite flank, leaving little room for Rodrygo to get a look in.
