The Slovenian striker did not get too caught up in the moment however, as he channelled his inner-Roy Keane in saying it's "his job" to score goals and that the Red Devils fans have yet to see the best of him despite finding the target on two occasions in his last two games.

Benjamin Sesko got himself on the scoresheet and helped Manchester United register their third Premier League win of the season, with the Slovenian receiving a congratulatory message from the man he was brought in to replace. Indeed, Rasmus Hojlund, who has been in fine form on loan at Napoli, took to social media and expressed his happiness at the Red Devils' frontman's exploits.

Ruben Amorim said he could feel that his Manchester United players do not want him to get sacked after they beat Sunderland 2-0 to ease the pressure on the coach. Goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko gave United a third win of the season and soothed the pain of last week's defeat at Brentford, which led to high profile figures such as Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney fiercely criticising Amorim.

The Premier League has issued a statement after Sunderland were denied a penalty in the first half against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday. Trai Hume went down inside the United box following a challenge from Benjamin Sesko and the referee pointed to the spot. However, after VAR checked the incident, the on-field official reversed his decision.

"He has great potential.
