After several weeks of intense speculation regarding his future, the Swedish striker is reportedly ready for a new challenge at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are closing in on a deal that could be worth around £69 million ($93m).

Gyokeres has been trying to force that move, with the 27-year-old forward remaining in his homeland rather than reporting for pre-season training with Sporting. He is now in the process of packing up his belongings in Portugal.

The Sun reports on how a removal van has been spotted at Gyokeres’ luxury home in Lisbon. Various pieces of furniture were seen being moved out of that property, potentially with north London being their next port of call.

Arsenal have spent several windows scouring the market for a new No.9. They appear to have got their man, with ex-Brighton and Coventry forward Gyokeres returning to the UK after hitting 97 goals for Sporting through 102 appearances.
