The 26-year-old is no slouch on the course, with ‘Captain America’ working off a 10 handicap. He is, however, very much an amateur in golfing circles, with his professional efforts reserved for competitive action with AC Milan and the United States.

Pulisic is prepared to put his skills to the test whenever linking up with Melton. She needs to spend as much time on the fairways as possible, when mastering the game that provides her income, and there are plenty of laughs to be had during supposedly friendly rounds.

Melton and Pulisic are competitive characters by nature, allowing them to reach the top of their respective games, so there will always be something riding on their tussles when picking up a club. That was the case again when the Milan forward paired up with actor Daniel Ioffreda to face Melton in a nine-hole challenge.

Pulisic said "anything is possible" when being asked if he was confident of winning, before declaring that he was not "rooting" for Melton after seeing it revealed that she was donning custom socks sporting his face. A "scramble" contest was kept close at times, before an ultimate winner was determined.

Unsurprisingly, it was Melton that emerged victorious. She finished the nine holes 2 Up, leaving Pulisic to declare: "Good game. We can’t keep losing to her!" He will be back doing his day job on Saturday when AC Milan take in a Serie A trip to Torino.
