THE BIGGER PICTURE
At the age of 21, Sesko has earned a reputation as one of the best young strikers in Europe, scoring 21 goals in 45 games in all competitions for Leipzig in the 2024-25 season. However, with his contract running until 2029, the young striker will not be let go of easily by his current employers. While reports suggest that Arsenal have opened talks with Sesko, negotiations will not be easy. But head coach Mikel Arteta has already acknowledged that they will spend big on transfers this season, hinting that acquiring a player like Sesko is already a part of their plans for next season.
Sesko will next be seen in action for the Slovenia national team, as they take on Luxembourg and Bosnia and Herzegovina in international friendlies in June.
