Mason Greenwood approves transfer that may include England U21 star Samuel Iling-Junior – with Juventus exploring ways to sweeten Man Utd deal amid £34m asking price

Manchester United are opening themselves up to offers for Greenwood in the summer window. With there seemingly no future for him at Old Trafford, and his current contract due to expire in 2025, the Red Devils are ready to sanction a permanent move elsewhere for the 22-year-old forward.

Greenwood impressed during a loan spell at Getafe in 2023-24, leading to him being linked with leading sides across Europe. Serie A giants Juve are considered to be leading the race for his signature, with incoming Bianconeri boss Thiago Motta green lighting an approach for a man that registered 10 goals and six assists in La Liga last season.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Greenwood has informed his representatives that a switch to Turin would appeal. Juve will, however, struggle to meet United’s £34 million ($43m) asking price. With that in mind, the Italian outfit are exploring ways to sweeten the deal.

It is claimed that England U21 winger Iling-Junior could be offered in part-exchange, while there remains the possibility of Euro 2020 winner Federico Chiesa being used as a makeweight as he is another approaching the final 12 months of his contract.
