Luke Shaw slammed as 'Man Utd's worst signing EVER' after starring in TikTok with Molly-Mae Hague during injury recovery

England international Shaw has made just three substitute appearances for the Red Devils this season and has not started a game at club level since February 2024 – with injury problems continuing to hold him back. The 29-year-old faced criticism last summer for taking risks on his fitness when linking up with his country at Euro 2024.

Shaw only figured in 15 games for United last term, with struggles for consistency being traced back to the broken leg that he suffered in 2016. He was a £30 million ($37m) signing for the Red Devils when they lured him away from Southampton in the summer of 2014.

Shaw has now angered United supporters with his antics away from the field, with the left-back making a surprise appearance in a TikTok video starring Tommy Fury’s ex-fiancee, Molly-Mae. @Qmawethu has said of Shaw’s social media lip-syncing: "Manchester United worst signing ever never fit and now he is doing tiktok videos."

@MichaelBuckle17 added: "Actually impressive Luke Shaw is still employed by United, biggest finesse English football’s ever seen."

While aiming a dig at Shaw’s injury record, @Lisandrosprop said: "Luke Shaw has made more TikTok vids than appearances for United this season."

@Xpenscve went on to say: "This is the same Luke Shaw that kept himself away from the Man Utd squad just so he could play for England. No one said you can’t have a life outside work, but some times you need to read the room. It’s not rocket science, this makes him look unserious. If this was Rashford…"

@__vikk added, with another transfer window now open: "Reason number 25474846 to get rid of Luke Shaw."

United have Shaw tied to a contract through to 2027. It remains to be seen whether said deal will be completed, with Ruben Amorim ready to start putting his stamp on an underperforming squad that was inherited from Erik ten Hag.
