Jermaine Jenas' ex-model wife Ellie Penfold standing by sacked BBC presenter following allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour'

The 41-year-old was relieved of his duties as presenter of the BBC's The One Show and a pundit on Match of the Day after at least one woman complained about his workplace conduct. It was alleged that the ex-England international sent inappropriate texts to a colleague, with others coming forward.

The BBC opened an investigation into Jenas' conduct while his agents have reportedly dropped him and talkSPORT said there are no plans for him to be on their radio channels in the "immediate future". Despite the allegations, The Sun reports the player's wife, Ellie, is standing by him.

Jenas was live on talkSPORT when the news broke and was asked for his reaction to his sacking. He vowed to get lawyers involved in the situation as he insisted he is "not happy" about the development.

The former midfielder may take legal action against the BBC following his dismissal. In the meantime, it may be a long period before he is back on radio or television amid the allegations.
