Jadon Sancho transfer blow for Borussia Dortmund! Man Utd slap £55m price tag on exiled flop

The 24-year-old winger returned to Signal Iduna Park for a second spell in the winter transfer window after being frozen out by Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford. With the future looking bleak for the England international, the decision was taken to head back to familiar surroundings.

Sancho has started to look more like his old self in Germany, with Dortmund being helped to the Champions League final – where they will face Real Madrid at Wembley on June 1. Questions are, however, being asked of what the summer will bring.

United are open to offers, but The Sun reports that they will demand at least 75 per cent of the £73m ($93m) that they paid Dortmund for Sancho in 2021. BVB may struggle to find those kinds of funds, especially with a £275,000-a-week contract to be taken into account.

Sancho has only registered 12 goals and six assists through 82 appearances for United, but may need his slate to be wiped clean there – potentially with Ten Hag moving on – in order to get his career back on track in Manchester.
