Change is on the cards at the Allianz Arena, with former Chelsea and Paris Saint-German coach Tuchel stating his intention to step down at the end of the season. He is, however, in danger of failing to make it through to the summer.

Bayern have slipped 16 points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga title race, leaving the Champions League as their only route to major silverware. They are due to lock horns with Premier League heavyweights Arsenal in the quarter-finals of that competition on Tuesday.

According to Abendzeitung, another demoralising defeat against the Gunners will lead to Tuchel being ushered through the exits. It is claimed that former Bayern striker Miroslav Klose could take the reins on an interim basis, with club legend Hermann Gerland returning to the dugout as his assistant.

Bayern will make a permanent appointment in the summer, amid links to the likes of Xabi Alonso and Jose Mourinho, but it is up to prolific striker Kane – who is preparing to return to north London for the first time since leaving Tottenham – and his underperforming colleagues to keep Tuchel in a job for a few more weeks.
