Cristiano Ronaldo chooses between Kylian Mbappe & Karim Benzema and picks Man Utd legend ahead of SIX former Real Madrid team-mates in 'better player' challenge

The Portuguese superstar has played with and against some of the finest talent of the last two decades. He has cemented a standing towards the top of all-time great lists with his exploits in a long-running battle with eternal rival Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo is still going strong at 39 years of age, with his career taking him from Sporting to Al-Nassr via Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. He has earned 213 caps for Portugal – helping them to Euro 2016 and Nations League glory – and has vowed to carry on for some time yet.

Rio Ferdinand has now charged Ronaldo, on his YouTube channel, with the task of picking between some of his most distinguished former team-mates and French superstar Mbappe - who has followed in his footsteps as a ‘Galactico’ at Santiago Bernabeu and taken on the No.9 jersey that CR7 once filled in Spain.

Ronaldo sided with legendary United midfielder Paul Scholes in duels with Gary Neville, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Carlos Tevez. His fellow legendary No.7 David Beckham then took bragging rights against Angel Di Maria, before losing to Ryan Giggs. The Welsh winger saw off competition from Ramos, Pepe, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso and Toni Kroos.

After snubbing six former Madrid team-mates, Ronaldo went with Benzema in a battle with Giggs. The former Blancos striker did, however, lose out to fellow countryman Mbappe – with the World Cup winner hoping to emulate Ronaldo by becoming a Ballon d’Or winner in the not too distant future.
