Bayern Munich’s worst player?! Harry Kane given miserable rating in gritty win over St Pauli as Jamal Musiala takes centre stage ahead of €100m striker

The prolific England international has registered 61 goals for Bayern through as many appearances – with 17 of those efforts recorded this season, while hitting three hat-tricks across all competitions. Kane has, however, faced criticism at times for failing to deliver in big matches.

A clash with St Pauli cannot be considered to fall into that category, but Bayern still needed somebody to step up against dogged Bundesliga newcomers. Kane, as Vincent Kompany’s talismanic No.9, is often looked to for moments of inspiration.

He failed to provide any of those against St Pauli, leading to him earning a miserable rating from German publication BILD. In a ranking system where one is best and five is the worst, Kane came in at four – along with team-mates Kingsley Coman, Leon Goretzka and Raphael Guerreiro.

Kane’s forgettable performance was countered by that put in by fellow forward Jamal Musiala, with the Germany international playmaker delivering a match-winning display. The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the game, earning him a score of two from BILD as Bayern pulled five points clear at the top of the table.
