Bayern Munich's Harry Kane 'seriously considering' Premier League return this summer with shock club mooted as 'favourites' for sensational transfer ahead of Tottenham

According to El Nacional, sources close to the Bayern Munich star state the 31-year-old is 'seriously considering' a return to the English top-flight at the end of the season and wants to close out his career in England. The report adds that Liverpool are considered the 'favourites' to sign the striker.

Kane has been prolific since swapping Tottenham for Bayern in 2023 and this season it seems he is finally inching closer to securing his first-ever major trophy. But if that goal is achieved, perhaps the England captain - who reportedly has a release clause in his contract - may have his sights set on the Premier League and taking Alan Shearer's goalscoring record there.

Kane, whose contract at Bayern runs until 2027, is currently second in the all-time Premier League goals list (213) behind Alan Shearer (260). If the ex-Spurs man went back to England soon, he could overtake the Newcastle United legend.

In the meantime, Kane could feature for England at home to Latvia on Monday in their next World Cup qualifier. Kane scored the second goal in England's 2-0 win over Albania as Thomas Tuchel opened his reign in impressive fashion.
