Netflix have opened the door to a series that focuses on Rebekah Vardy - and will rival Coleen Rooney's Disney+ documentary - by signing a deal with Leicester City striker Vardy. The Netflix show will focus on Vardy's extraordinary journey, from non-league Fleetwood Town to winning the Premier League title with the Foxes and representing England.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
According to the Telegraph, Rebekah Vardy may take the spotlight in a follow-up series if the documentary about her husband proves to be a hit. Reports suggest she will appear in scenes showcasing her home life, much like Victoria Beckham's role in last year's Netflix documentary about David Beckham. The streaming giant is well aware of the buzz Victoria's scenes generated and may hope to replicate that success.
DID YOU KNOW?
Rebekah and Coleen were involved in a high-profile libel trial that earned the moniker 'Wagatha Christie', after Rooney accused Vardy of leaking stories about her to the press. Vardy lost the case, but a Netflix deal would help with her reported £1.7 million legal bills.

While Coleen is set to profit enormously from her stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, things aren't going quite so well for husband Wayne. His Plymouth side are struggling in the Championship, with relegation a realistic possibility. Jamie Vardy is also fending off a relegation battle with Leicester, who host Wolves in a huge six-pointer on Sunday.
