Ringsted Overview

Kyle Walker has confessed that he may be forced to undergo painful laser surgery to remove a commemorative tattoo if Manchester City are ultimately stripped of their silverware. The veteran defender, who enjoyed a trophy-laden stint at the Etihad Stadium, has a permanent reminder of the club’s historic achievements etched onto his skin.

Jamie Vardy marked his return to English football with a first-half goal, but Burnley saw their disastrous winless streak at Turf Moor extended to 21 league matches following a painful 2-1 defeat to Wolves. Defensive blunders allowed Fer Lopez and Tawanda Chirewa to capitalise, completing a superb comeback for the visitors and leaving the frustrated home supporters furious.

Kyle Walker has broken his silence following the seismic ruling that found Manchester City guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations. The former club captain insisted that no matter the legal outcome, the memories and achievements of the players remain untouchable.

Jamie Vardy has been linked with Wrexham on a couple of occasions when hitting free agency, and Danny Simpson has told GOAL that there “was something there” when talk of joining Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac in North Wales resurfaced. No deal was done, with the evergreen frontman - who is being backed to play well beyond the age of 40 - now on the books at Burnley.
