Tottenham vs Brighton Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts a vital game at both ends of the table as Spurs welcome Brighton to the north of the capital.

Mauricio Pochettino's men were beaten at Manchester City on Saturday but remain in the top four thanks to Arsenal's defeat against Crystal Palace.

The battle for the final Champions League places looks like going down to the wire and Tuesday's game is a match where the hosts cannot afford to drop points.

Brighton, too, will be desperate to get something from the game, as they sit just a place and three points above the relegation zone following a key home loss to 18th-placed Cardiff.

bet365 offer the north Londoners at 4/11 (1.36) to claim their 12th home win of the season, while the Seagulls can be backed at 9/1 (10.00) and the draw is on offer at 17/4 (5.25).

Team news

Spurs captain Hugo Lloris missed the defeat in Manchester with a muscle injury but could be back. Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela will all be assessed after also missing out on Saturday. Harry Kane is still missing for the north Londoners.

Brighton midfielder Davy Propper is a doubt after picking up a knock against Wolves on Saturday, while Anthony Knockaert remains suspended.

Preview

Spurs' record at home against sides in the bottom half of the table is exceptional, with Pochettino's men comfortably seeing off the division's lower teams.

The Champions League semi-finalists have won all eight home games against sides currently in the bottom half of the table, and Brighton's current form means the Seasiders are unlikely to change that sequence of results.

Chris Hughton's side have lost five of their last six games in all competitions, a run which has seen them fail to score a goal. Indeed, they have gone 466 league minutes without finding the back of the net and that goalless run could well continue in north London.

Tips and predictions

Of Spurs' eight home wins against teams in the bottom half of the table, six have come to nil and a repeat is offered at 21/20 (2.05).

The hosts on Tuesday have conceded just 13 goals in front of their own fans this term and have kept two clean sheets in the two matches they have played in their new stadium.
