England World Cup squad latest odds

With two months to go until the start of the World Cup the competition to secure a place among Gareth Southgate's final squad is fierce, and bet365 are offering odds on which players will be on the plane to Qatar.

A number of footballers look absolutely guaranteed to be playing at the tournament with Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford the shortest priced players to be in the squad both at 1/25 (1.04).

Pickford is not in the latest squad due to a thigh injury, but the Everton goalkeeper is expected to recover in time to be England's number one at the tournament.

His absence means a call-up for Dean Henderson and the Manchester United stopper on loan at Nottingham Forest stopper is priced at evens (2.00) to be a member of the final World Cup squad.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has also been left out of the latest squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches and has not featured for the national team since July 2021.

Rashford however has made a strong start to the season scoring three goals in six league matches and Southgate has left the door open to the 24-year-old saying, "He is a player we know well so if he can perform at a high level in the next few weeks, he of course will be under consideration".

Rashford is priced at 8/11 (1.73) to make it to Qatar, while fellow forward Ivan Toney is offered at 11/8 (2.38). The Brentford striker has been called up for the first time and could get a chance in the forthcoming matches against Italy and Germany to make his mark but has clearly caught Southgate's eye with five league goals already this term.

Elsewhere in the market Jadon Sancho is priced at 11/8 (2.38) to force his way into Southgate's final plans, while Tyrone Mings can be backed at 6/4 (2.50).
