Fletcher was on the scoresheet again as Wrexham saw off 10-man Burton on Saturday to strengthen their chances of a third-straight promotion. With the 38-year-old into the last months of his Red Dragons contract, the forward may have suggested a new deal is close.

WHAT STEVEN FLETCHER SAID
After posting several photos from the victory on social media and writing: "+3 and a goal... Saturdays at the Racecourse." He was then asked about a new contract, to which he used the 'side-eyes' emoji.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Wrexham's win and Wycombe Wanderers' loss to Reading means Phil Parkinson's men are in a strong position to achieve automatic promotion to the Championship. They are six points clear of third-placed Wycombe, but the Welsh team have played a game more. But with just five matches remaining, their fate is in their own hands and Fletcher could be key in their promotion bid.
