Victor Osimhen and Galatasaray schedule meeting for definitive answer on transfer from Napoli with striker holding out for Premier League move

Galatasaray have scheduled a key meeting with Osimhen to determine if the Nigerian striker is willing to join from Napoli, Hurriyet reports. With his release clause no longer valid, the Turkish club will need to reopen negotiations with Napoli if Osimhen agrees to the move.

The 25-year-old is the Yellow-Red’s top target and his decision will shape the club's entire transfer strategy. If he signs, they will focus their remaining transfer budget on strengthening other areas. If not, funds allocated for him could go toward other positions. Although Gala are ready with financial backing, Osimhen remains hesitant and is reportedly waiting for a Premier League bid.

Osimhen was Serie A’s top scorer in the 2022-23 season and helped Napoli win their first league title in 33 years. He’s long been linked with Premier League sides like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, but no official offers have matched his expectations.

He spent last season on loan at the Istanbul club and scored a whopping 26 goals in 30 Super Lig matches as they claimed the top-flight crown.

Galatasaray and Osimhen will meet face-to-face either in Nigeria or Europe next week. A final decision is expected by July 14. If Osimhen gives the green light, the Yellow-Reds will begin fresh talks with Napoli to finalise the transfer.
