Another target for AC Milan! Serie A side pursue €15m right-back but Barcelona hatch plan to keep him in La Liga

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have identified Pubill as a key target to reinforce their right flank following the departure of Kyle Walker, who was signed on loan from Manchester City. The Almeria defender is valued at €15 million (£13m/$17m), and talks could accelerate soon. Barcelona are also in the mix and may buy the player with plans to loan him to Real Betis.

The Rossoneri's summer rebuild continues under Max Allegri, with midfield signings like Samuele Ricci and Luka Modric already secured. The focus now shifts to the backline, and Pubill’s performances for Spain's U21s and Olympic squad have made him a standout candidate. Milan are also keeping tabs on Desire Doue's brother Guela Doue as a potential alternative.

Pubill was part of the Spain squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 European U21 Championship, before losing to eventual winners England. He played a key role in their Olympic Games triumph last year.
