The situation around Mike Maignan adds another layer of uncertainty. The captain is not expected back at Milanello until August 16, leaving him just one week to prepare before the Serie A opener at Torino on August 23. Reports of discontent around his future, including links to Al Nassr, have not been resolved, and his late return does little to project stability.
