Another signing for Wrexham! Wales striker set for medical with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side ahead of £2m transfer

Since securing promotion to the second tier, Wrexham have been actively strengthening their lineup, particularly in the attacking department. The club have already secured the signatures of Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle and Josh Windass from Sheffield Wednesday, adding firepower and experience to their frontline. Moore's arrival would further reinforce their options up front, bringing aerial threat and Championship experience.   

Moore joined Sheffield United last summer, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract. During his time at Bramall Lane, he made 28 appearances in the Championship and found the net five times. While his goal return may not have set the league alight, his physical presence and work rate were valued components of the Blades’ setup.    

Speaking recently about Wrexham’s transfer activity, Parkinson didn’t deny the club’s admiration for Moore, stating: "Kieffer's under contract at Sheffield United. He's one of a number of players we've looked at over the summer. Like I said, the landscape changes in the transfer market very quickly from one week to the next. We're looking at lots of options here and abroad."     

As Moore edges closer to the Wrexham move, Sheffield United are already planning for his replacement. The club is working on bringing back former striker Oli McBurnie, who left the Blades for Spanish outfit Las Palmas in a surprise transfer last year. The Scotsman is reportedly interested in returning to English football, with the Championship being a likely destination.    

The new Championship campaign is just days away, with Wrexham set to begin their return to the second tier on August 9. Their season opener is an away fixture against Southampton, a match that will test their mettle for the challenges of the English second division.
