WHAT HAPPENED?
The veteran defender's current deal with the German side expires at the end of this month after which he is expected to move away from the club. However, according to Sky Sports, the situation could change if Dortmund decide to sack manager Edin Terzic this summer.

The relationship between Terzic and Hummels has reportedly worsened in the past few months and the player had publicly criticised the manager during an interview with the BILD ahead of their Champions League final against Real Madrid. However, the report from Sky Sports further claimed that it is unlikely that Dortmund would part ways with the 41-year-old coach whose existing deal with the club runs until 2025.
