The 2026 summer transfer window promised to be an extremely eventful one in the women's game, with several huge stars on the move, and so it proved. Alexia Putellas, Georgia Stanway and Sam Kerr were just some of those who completed transfers as some of the biggest names in the sport found themselves new clubs over the past three months or so.

Manchester United have completed their first signing of the summer transfer window, with Spain youth international defender Andrea Medina joining the club on a free transfer after leaving Atletico Madrid. The 22-year-old signs a three-year deal with the Red Devils, with the option for a further year, in the first move abroad of her young career.

The United Strand appears to have picked the wrong Manchester United team to focus his haircut challenge on, with the Red Devils’ women’s team poking fun at a fan that has gone viral after picking up their sixth straight win. Frank Ilett is still waiting on the men’s side to secure five successive victories.

Defending champions Arsenal will face London rivals Chelsea in the Women's Champions League quarter-finals, if they can defeat OH Leuven in the knockout play-offs. The Gunners beat the Belgian minnows 3-0 in the last round of the league phase and will be heavily favoured to do so again, making an all-English quarter-final incredibly likely.
