San Diego knock out Pumas from Champions Cup first round
San Diego FC did just enough to advance. After building a commanding 4-1 advantage in the first leg at Snapdragon Stadium, Mikey Varas’ side withstood heavy pressure from Pumas on Tuesday night at Estadio Universitario. Despite falling 1-0 in Mexico City, the MLS club moved on with a 4-2 aggregate win and now turns its focus to the next stage of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
