Robbie Cornthwaite: A-League Finals Series is wide open

Western Sydney Wanderers defender Robbie Cornthwaite believes the A-League Finals Series is an open race ahead of it kicking off next weekend with the Elimination Finals.

The job for Western Sydney won't be easy, with the side needing to win twice on the road to reach the decisive final match, but the 31-year-old is confident his club can get the job done.

“It’s zero points now, zero goal difference, everything is an even playing field,” Cornthwaite said.

“We know we’ve got to win three games. We did that only in the last few weeks.

“We’re pretty confident.”

Wanderers came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw on Saturday, leaving the team's final finishing position still up in the air.

Perth Glory host Melbourne City Sunday, and the outcome of that match will determine the club's final slot.
