WHAT HAPPENED? Earlier in the week, it was officially announced that Steven Gerrard would be the latest to join the Saudi Pro League. Now rumours have followed the Liverpool legend with sources stating that Al-Ettifaq would like to try and sign Gerrard's former teammate, Philippe Coutinho.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: If possible, signing Coutinho would actually be a massive boost to Al-Ettifaq in the league as the current big signings in the Saudi Pro League have been between the quartet of Al Ittihad, Al Nassar, Al Hilal and Al Ahli.
