Peter & Kasper Schmeichel become second father & son duo to win Premier League

Peter and Kasper Schmeichel have entered Premier League history by becoming the second father and son to both win the title.
Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips became the first father-son duo to achieve this after Wright-Phillips was part of Chelsea’s title-winning side in 2006, while Wright won it with Arsenal in 1998.

Peter Schmeichel won five Premier League trophies during his career with Manchester United, while his son Kasper will end this season with a winners’ medal after Leicester City’s stunning title victory.

Leicester are the first 'new' winners of the English top flight in 38 years - the last first-time champions were Nottingham Forest in 1978. The Foxes are also the 24th team to win the top-flight title.
