Saudi club Al-Hilal issued an official statement on Friday regarding the future of Brazilian winger Malcom with the Zaeem.
The Zaeem said, on its official website: "The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club Company on Friday evening completed the procedures for signing a contractual settlement with the first-team footballer, Brazilian Malcom Filipe."
Malcom had all but settled his next destination. He announced the move to UAE club Al-Jazira on his own Instagram account, jumping ahead of Al-Hilal's official statement confirming the end of their relationship with the player.
Al-Jazira then made the signing official once Al-Hilal's statement landed.
There was more to come. The Zaeem said in another statement: "The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club Company, headed by His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Saad, and first-team footballer, Frenchman Matheus Batouy, have agreed to end the contractual relationship binding the player to the club, wishing the player continued success in his upcoming career."
