The series consists of four 60-minute episodes set to air in early 2018, which will be available exclusively on Netflix. It will show life at Juventus Stadium, featuring matches, training and a behind-the-scenes look at Massimiliano Allegri's side.

The club confirmed news of the series saying that they were honoured to be the first team in the world to featured in such a programme on the streaming service.

“It’s a source of pride that Juventus is the first football club to be the subject of a Netflix Original Docuseries,” said co-chief revenue officer Federico Palomba.

“Collaborations of this kind confirm our passion for innovation and being, in every sense, a sport entertainment brand. In this way, we are determined to reach Bianconeri fans across the world and millions of Netflix users, who thanks to this docuseries can get to know Juventus from every angle.”

Erik Barmack, vice president of international original series at Netflix, commented: “Netflix is the home of passionate storytelling, and there are no more passionate fans than those of the Bianconeri. We are excited to have unique, exclusive access to one of the most important squads in the world.”

Juventus are currently second in Serie A, sitting two points behind Napoli after seven games of the new season. Having reached the Champions League final last season, Juve have started off their new campaign with a win and a loss, getting beaten 3-0 at Camp Nou by Barcelona before making amends with a 2-0 home win over Olympiacos.
