Orlando City sign Michel as homegrown


Orlando City have signed University of Portland forward Benji Michel as a homegrown player.

Michel, 21, joins after spending three seasons with the Pilots, where he scored 31 goals in 53 appearances.

The Orlando native becomes the fifth homegrown signing in Orlando City's history. 

In-demand Veretout to sign new Fiorentina deal


Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout is set to sign a new deal ​with the Viola, reports Calciomercato

Napoli and Inter have taken an interest in the 25-year-old in recent months, with the Frenchman becoming one of his side's most important players. 

However, Veretout is set to sign a new contract through 2023, with his current deal set to expire in 2021. 


Marseiile looking to offload players in January


Marseiile are looking to offload several underperforming players in January, according to La Provence. 

The club are hoping to find a new home for on-loan defender Aymen Abdennour, and sell Clinton Njie as well as Gregory Sertic.

Marseiile would also like to sell Tomas Hubocan, who could instead wait for his contract to expire at the end of the season and leave on a free transfer.

Leeds near deal for Motherwell teenager


Leeds United are closing in on a deal for Motherwell winger Stuart McKinstry, the Daily Star reports. 

McKinstry, 16, has yet to make his first-team debut for Motherwell but Leeds are set to pay £400,000 to land the promising young winger. 

The Scottish Sun add that McKinstry's deal will include sell-on and appearance-based clauses.

Valverde to leave Barca?


Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has admitted that he may depart the club at the end of the current season.

Despite being under contract until 2020 and having led them to the La Liga title last season, the 54-year-old could exit Camp Nou in the coming months.

“I do not know what I will do next season. In this football, who knows?” Valverde was quoted.

Fulham favourites to land Cahill


Fulham look set to win the race for out-of-favour Chelsea defender Gary Cahill as Claudio Ranieri seeks to bolster his defensive options, says The Sun.

The 33-year-old will swap Stamford Bridge for Craven Cottage on a six-month loan as former Blues boss Ranieri plans a raid on his old club to help his side stay in the Premier League.

The ex-England man has struggled for regular game-time since new boss Maurizio Sarri took charge in the off-season.

Wolves sign teenager Wang


Wolves have signed 18-year-old Spaniard David Wang, the club has confirmed.

The teenager will not play at Molineux this season however following his arrival from Jumilla B.

Instead, he will spend the rest of the season on loan at Sporting CP in Portugal.

Inter want Flamengo swap for Gabigol


Inter will only let Gabigol head to Brazilian outfit Flamengo if they are able to take academy products Lincoln and Reineir in return, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 22-year-old has been with the San Siro side since 2016 but has failed to breakthrough and spent the previous year on loan with his former club Santos.

Flamengo want to sign the forward for 2019, but Inter will only let them have their man if they can take the two highly-rated youngsters in the other direction to Italy.

Wolves defender Hause headed to Villa


Wolves have agreed to accept a bid from Championship outfit Aston Villa for centre-back Kortney Hause, per The Sun.

The 23-year-old has been limited to only domestic cup appearances for the Premier League side this season, following their promotion from the second tier in 2017.

Hause is now expected to make the short trip to Villa Park to undergo a medical with the club, who are chasing a return to the top flight themselves.

D. C. United bring in Rodriguez


D. C. United have signed Argentine attacking midfielder Lucas Rodriguez on a one-year loan, the club has confirmed.

The MLS outfit have acquired the 21-year-old from Estudiantes on a temporary basis that will see him head to the U.S. capital for the 2019 season.

Rodriguez has previously spent his entire career with the La Plata club, having come through the youth set-up with them.

Young attracting Serie A interest


Inter Milan have joined Serie A rivals Roma in keeping an eye on Manchester United’s Ashley Young with a view to a potential free transfer, reports The Mirror.

The England international, a member of the country’s World Cup squad in Russia last year, sees his current deal expire at the end of the season at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils had hoped to tie him down on an extension before the end of 2018, but the midfielder now may be open to a move abroad as he moves into the twilight of his career.

Fabregas wanted by Fenerbahce


Out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is a target of Super Lig outfit Fenerbahce, according to reports in The Daily Mail.

The Spaniard, who has previously been linked with a move to Milan, has struggled for regular starting time under Maurizio Sarri this season.

The Turkish side are also potential suitors though, and have reportedly travelled to London in an attempt to secure a deal for the 31-year-old’s departure.

Hyndman returns to Cherries


Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman has returned to the club following the conclusion of his six-month loan with Hibernian, the Scottish Premier League outfit has confirmed.

The 22-year-old departed the Cherries on a temporary basis in 2018 and had previously indicated an interest in remaining at Easter Road for the rest of the season.

However, a shortage of central midfielders means the United States international will report back to the Vitality Stadium instead for Eddie Howe’s side.

Palace mull over Kirby loan offers


Crystal Palace will consider over the coming days whether to let teenager Nya Kirby depart Selhurst Park on loan, per The Daily Mail.

The 18-year-old, who won the under-17 World Cup with England in 2017, is still waiting for a first-team debut with the Eagles, despite impressing Roy Hodgson.

Charlton and Blackpool are thought to be those interested in taking the midfielder on a temporary basis.

Fiorentina have bid accepted for Muriel


Fiorentina have made a successful bid to sign Sevilla striker Luis Muriel, according to the club's official website.

The Colombian will join the Serie A side on a temporary basis, with an option to buy at the end of his loan.

Muriel travel to Florence tomorrow for a medical.

Djilobodji signs for Guingamp


Former Sunderland and Chelsea man Papy Djilobodji has signed for French side Guingamp.

The defender has been without a club since having his contract terminated by the Black Cats in September.

He will link up with ex-teammate Didier N'dong, who also moved to the Ligue 1 club recently.

Huddersfield confirm Brown signing


Huddersfield Town have confirmed the signing of England youth international Jaden Brown, as per their offical website.

The 19-year-old joins the Terriers on a free transfer from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

The highly-rated left-back will join up with Town's Elite Development Squad.


Lyon could be tempted to sell Cornet


Lyon could be tempted into selling Maxwell Cornet, according to Le Parisien.

The French club battled to keep the 22-year-old over the summer, but he struggled for first team opportunities this season.

Lyon hope to garner in excess of €20 million for the player when they do decide to offload him. 

Watford academy goalkeeper loaned out


Watford have confirmed that academy goalkeeper Sam Howes has been loaned out to Eastbourne Borough FC, per their official Twitter account.

The 21-year-old has yet to make a senior appearance for the Hornets, but has featured 29 times for their U23s side this season.

Eastbourne currently play in the National League South.


Benitez on Leicester City's radar


Leicester City are interested in Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, according to the Mirror.

Foxes boss Claude Puel is understood to be treading a tightrope with the former champions' hierarchy, with concerns growing over his management style.

Leicester owner Top Srivaddhanaprabha is an admirer of Benitez's and would be keen to lure him away from Tyneside to replace the Frenchman.

Man United consider Marco Rose for permanent job


There is a surprising new name in the club's coaching search

Manchester United are considering Red Bull Salzburg boss Marco Rose as an option for the permanent manager's job at Old Trafford, according to The Sun.

The 42-year-old is understood to be part of the Reds' shortlist to take on the role on a full-time basis following Jose Mourinho's dismissal.

Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane, Laurent Blanc, and current interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are also thought to be in contention.

Walsall confirm Jarvis signing


Walsall have confirmed the signing of Matt Jarvis via their official club website.

The 32-year-old winger joins the Saddlers from Norwich City until the end of the season.

Jarvis won his one and only England cap in a friendly against Ghana in 2011.

Aberdeen want McKenna back on loan if he is sold


Aberdeen will demand that Scott McKenna returns to club on loan until the end of the season if he is sold in January, according to the Daily Mail.

The defender is expected to be the target of much interest from south of the border in the coming window, and his current club will look to limit the damage of losing him should he be sold.

McKenna was the subject of bids from both Celtic and Aston Villa in August. 

PSG reignite Alderweireld interest


PSG have rekindled their interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld, according to the Telegraph.

The French champions are understood to have been alerted to the £25 million release clause brought into effect by Spurs' decision to extend the Belgian's contract.

Any potential bid will have to wait until the end of the season.

Betis interested in Almiron


Real Betis are interested in signing Miguel Almiron, according to Versus.

The Paraguayan is highly sought after, with his departure from Atlanta United looking increasingly likely.

Newcastle United are also understood to be interested in the MLS MVP.

West Brom keen on Wanyama


West Brom have made an enquiry about signing Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to the Daily Mail.

The Kenyan has been deemed available for transfer by Spurs this January.

It is understood, however, that Wanyama does not wish to play Championship football and would rather stay and fight for his place at the London club.

Juventus favourites to land Ramsey


Juventus are favourites to land Aaron Ramsey upon the expiration of his contract with Arsenal, according to the Mirror.

The Italian champions are confident of capturing the Welsh international on a deal worth around £140,000 a week, plus a £12m signing on fee.

Isco is said have added to his wage demands after Paris Saint-Germain entered the picture as a suitor for his services.

The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid under Santiago Solari, but has stated publicly that he is happy at the club.

Cardiff after Dundee's Kamara


Neil Warnock says Cardiff are after Dundee's Glen Kamara.

The Finland midfielder is in the final five months of his contract and has drawn attention from Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibernian with his play in Scotland.

Warnock is also an admirer, while Swansea are also said to be keen.

“I have always looked at Scottish football and he [Kamara] is a good player," Warnock said, according to the Herald.

“He has had an up and down start to his career but he is one of a number of Scottish lads we have looked at.”

Willian hopeful of David Luiz stay


Willian is hopeful that Brazil team-mate David Luiz will remain at Chelsea.

The defender is getting older and, with Chelsea's club policy of only one-year deals for players over 30, Luiz's future with the Blues is in doubt.

However, Willian is hopeful that Luiz will stay following a strong start to the campaign.

Manchester City to sign starlet Tarensi


Manchester City are set to sign Espanyol's Oscar Tarensi, according to Sport.

​The deal will reportedly be completed in January when the youngster turns 16, making him eligible for the move.

Pep Guardiola and co. have been tracking him for quite a while, as the promising Spanish youth international can play as a left-sided fullback, midfielder or winger.
